Screening of Among Others

The film «Między Innymi» (“Among others”), produced by Memorial Poland, will be screened during a joint event by Memorial Poland and the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology in Warsaw.

The film tells the story of several Ukrainian refugees. In total, about 1.5 million Ukrainian refugees live in Poland. Many of them have left their destroyed and occupied home cities and they cannot come back. How do they live in this country? Do local people help them? Or do they encounter resentment? An actress from Kryvyi Rih, an owner of a car repair shop in Kharkiv, a pensioner from the Kherson region, a young family from Cherkasy, a bus driver from Vinnytsia, and a student from Zaporizhzhia tell their stories.

The film's crew will be present for a discussion after the screening.
